Hi Ed,

Good Sam is a good first camping club to join (very inexpensive). And you get $10 to $15 off your stay at many RV parks. I would not buy a big membership at one of the groups being that you are a newbie. It is best to get used to your camper and sample a lot of different parks. My experience has been that the big membership sites (Thousand Trails, etc.) aren't really worth it and lock you into going to only their parks.

Hope this helps and happy trails.

Just bought my first camper 2 weeks ago. Still learning about how it works and gathering the things that I will need for my first outing. I see that there are a lot of different camping clubs/groups that folks join (Good Sam, etc.) Which ones are the better ones that would provide the best benefit for a newbie like myself? Thanks in advance. BTW, I found this site from a link on another camping site where the person said they just started camping back in 2008. Maybe that was you. Thanks again.
